Residential Visits

We take learning outside the classroom very seriously. Our residential visits are planned to make the most of the children's time, building on their class-based lessons. Every year, we offer the Year 6 children a chance to visit London. Here they take part in a wide range of activities, from visiting historical sites to watching a West End show, as well as meeting up with out friends from Upton Cross Primary School in Newham.

We also offer a residential camp - either to Carnyorth (St Just - Cornwall), Isles of Scilly or Delaware (Near the Tamar River). At Carnyorth/Delware the children stay in a converted old primary school and take part in lots of amazing activities like a smugglers trail, orienteering, climbing, and off-road cycling. We camp at the Pelistry on St Marys, the main island on the Isles of Scilly and activities could include windsurfing, kayaking, visiting other islands, cycling, archery, swimming and enjoying fish and chips on a beach!

Each of these destinations are provided by Cornwall Outdoors. Fully qualified instructors lead the variety of activities and inspire our children to try new things.
