The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association
Who are the PTFA?
The Parent, Teachers and Friends Association is a group of hardworking volunteers who are committed to raising funds for Upton Cross School. All the money raised goes back to the children to enable them to have those extra things that the school budget cannot cover.
What does the PTFA do?
The PTFA has enabled the school to purchase cameras, re-paint the playground markings, provide an awning for the Early Years area, contribute towards the annual residential visit and other school trips, and install the trim trail. The Year 6 annual leavers day out is also paid for by the PTFA including leavers gifts and annual trips to the theatre.
How do we raise money?
The PTFA fund raise in many ways; the annual summer fete, Christmas Fairs, quiz nights, school discos, cake sales and raffles. The collection of second hand clothing through the Rag Bag Scheme raises approximately £1000 per year.
