Henwood Visit to Pizza Express 2019

Henwood class had their first visit of the year to Pizza Express as part of our science topic of Animals including Humans. We talked about the importance of eating a balanced diet and also the importance of hygiene when handling food. We had great fun designing and making a pizza with the informative chefs who taught us all about what it is like doing their job. We even got to explore behind the scenes at where they store the food safely in the large (and chilly!) fridges. Once the pizzas were cooked, we put them into boxes. Finally, we set off up to Smeaton's Tower to enjoy our pizza while looking at the wonderful coastal view; pointing out key landmarks such as the lighthouse, the island and the cliffs. In all, a wonderful day. Pizza Express staff commented on how wonderfully polite the children were, they represented our school well :)
